Hello 2013

Happy New Year!

I love making new goals for the New Year, 

it challenges me to be a better

mama, partner, daughter, sister, artist, 

a better me.

The kind of goals I make are obtainable to me, 

realistic to my real world.

 So, one of my many goals for 2013 is this project;

Project Life 365

I joined this project in the 2nd week of January

It's basically a daily photo challenge

I accepted this challenge to hopefully see in pictures what changes that a year can make

and to get better and learn more about photography. 

I am posting my photos here as well as on my facebook page

I feel like 2013 is going to be a year full of challenges, 

so Cheers to the first of many more to come!

Yearending Review

Dang! 

 I can't believe it's been so long since I have written on this here blog.

Oh, such is life, right?!

Many lovely things have been happening around these parts.
We had a busy, quiet and fun Holiday.
Running from one thing to the next
then to enjoy Christmas morning
quiet, noisy, sleepy.

We enjoyed meeting cousins for the first time!

I love to get the kids involved in Holiday activities.  

It makes the Season that much more fun and exciting!
 (for the adults as well as the kids!)

One way we celebrate the season is the Advant calendar.

It reminds me of my younger days when my brothers and I would excitingly open up the 

windows of the cardboard house to find a special treat hidden.

Knowing it was yet another day down until Christmas morning.

I made origami baskets a few years ago that we will reuse another year.

I had the intent to make a new calendar for this year, 

however, 

I thought the kids would appreciate one ready come the 1st of December.

I try to stick with activities that I think the kids will enjoy,
instead of toys or candies that they will have plenty of come Christmas.
Although, on a few filler days, a couple of gold coins get added.
